Description
The Japanese barberry 'Orange Sunrise' (Berberis thunbergii) is an upright, columnar shrub with decorative fruits that remain on the plant for a very long time. The Japanese barberry 'Orange Sunrise' also has rounded, red leaves with a golden-yellow margin. The orange-red new growth is also an interesting sight. In a sunny to semi-shaded position with well-drained, humus-rich, acidic soil, it usually reaches a height of around 1.5 m and spreads to around 1 m.
