Description
The Japanese barberry 'Red Dream' (Berberis thunbergii) is a dense, overhanging, branched shrub with decorative fruits that remain on the plant for a very long time. Before these appear, it produces yellow flowers in May. The Japanese barberry 'Red Dream' also has egg-shaped, red leaves. In a sunny to semi-shaded position with well-drained, humus-rich, acidic soil, it usually reaches a height of approx. 90 cm and spreads to approx. 1.2 m.
