Description
The Warted barberry (Berberis verruculosa) is an ovoid, compact, overhanging shrub with decorative, black, elongated fruits. It produces golden yellow flowers from May to June. The Warted barberry also has dark green leaves. In a sunny to shady location, it usually reaches a height of around 2 metres and grows to around 2 metres wide. The Warted barberry makes no particular demands on the soil.
