Description
The Strachey's elephant's ears 'Ice Queen' (Bergenia stracheyi) is an upright, winter-green perennial that forms green-white, bell-shaped flowers arranged in umbels from April to May. Its egg-shaped leaves are medium green in colour. In a sunny to semi-shady location with well-drained, loose, nutrient-rich soil, it usually reaches a height of approx. 30 cm and grows to a width of approx. 40 cm. The Strachey's elephant's ears 'Ice Queen' is well tolerant of frost.
