Description
The Silver birch 'Tristis' (Betula pendula) is a large, upright tree that produces greenish-yellow flowers arranged in catkins. They appear from March to April. These produce light brown fruits. The Silver birch 'Tristis' also has triangular, light green leaves. Its bark is white, rolling. In a sunny location, it usually reaches a height of around 25 metres and grows to a width of around 12 metres. The Silver birch 'Tristis' makes no special demands on the soil.
