Description
The Paper birch (Betula papyrifera) is a pyramidal tree that produces pale yellow flowers arranged in catkins. They appear in April. These produce light brown fruits. The Paper birch also has egg-shaped, medium green leaves. Its bark is white and flaking. In a sunny location with well-drained, humus-rich, nutrient-rich, sandy, acidic, loamy soil, it usually reaches a height of approx. 20 m and is approx. 15 m wide.
