Description
The Alternate-leaved butterfly bush (Buddleja alternifolia) is a spreading, overhanging, picturesque shrub that produces lilac-coloured flowers with a strong fragrance. They appear from June to July. The Alternate-leaved butterfly bush also has matt, lanceolate, medium green leaves. Its bark is grey. In a sunny, sheltered location with well-drained, loose, nutrient-rich soil, it usually reaches a height of around 4 metres and grows to around 4 metres wide.
