Description
The Butterfly bush 'Empire Blue' (Buddleja davidii) is an upright, loose, funnel-shaped shrub that produces blue-violet flowers arranged in panicles with a strong fragrance. They appear from July to October. The Butterfly bush 'Empire Blue' also has lanceolate, medium green leaves. Its bark is grey. In a sunny location with well-drained, nutrient-rich soil, it usually reaches a height of around 3 metres and grows to a width of around 2 metres.
