Description
The Butterfly bush (Buddleja japonica) is a shrub-like garden plant that produces lilac-coloured flowers arranged in panicles with a pleasant fragrance. They appear from June to July. The Butterfly bush also has lanceolate, medium-green leaves. In a sunny to semi-shady location with well-drained soil, it usually reaches a height of around 2 metres and grows to around 1.5 metres wide.
