Description
The Common camellia 'Orandako' (Camellia japonica) is a very popular evergreen container plant. Its carmine-red or striped, double flowers appear from February to April. The dark green leaves are lanceolate and glossy, leathery. The location should be as sunny to semi-shady as possible. A well-drained, humus-rich, sandy and loamy soil is ideal. Under favourable conditions, the Common camellia 'Orandako' reaches a height of approx. 3 m and grows up to 2 m wide.
