Description
The Common camellia 'Dr. Burnside' (Camellia japonica) is a very popular, evergreen container plant. Its red flowers appear from February to March. The dark green leaves are lanceolate, glossy and leathery. It should be planted in a position that is as sunny as possible or in partial shade. Well-drained, humus-rich, sandy and loamy soil is ideal. Under favourable conditions, the Common camellia 'Dr. Burnside' reaches a height of approx. 3 m and spreads up to 2 m wide.
