With its green flowers from April to May, Bowles' golden sedge 'Aurea' (Carex elata) is an extremely decorative aquatic plant that is particularly suitable for use in containers, solitary plants, group planting, pond edges, streams and ponds. It prefers well-drained, loose soil in a sunny to semi-shady position. The Bowles' golden sedge 'Aurea' is well tolerant of frost. The runner-forming plant usually reaches a height of approx. 80 cm.
