Description
With its blue-grey leaf colouring, Carnation grass 'Blue Zinger' (Carex flacca) is a decorative design element in the garden, but with its cushion-forming and rhizome-forming growth it also adorns containers on balconies or terraces. The light brown flower plumes adorn this grass from spring onwards. It feels most at home in a sunny to semi-shady location with a well-drained, calcareous, nutrient-rich soil. In favourable conditions, this hardy grass reaches a height of approx. 20 cm and grows up to 40 cm wide.
