Description
With its medium-green foliage, Sedge 'J.S. Mosten' (Carex morrowii) is a decorative feature in the garden, whilst its clump-forming habit also makes it ideal for pots on balconies or terraces. The brownish-yellow flower spikes adorn this grass from spring onwards. It thrives best in a semi-shaded to shaded position with soil that is as well-drained, humus-rich, calcareous and nutrient-rich as possible. Under favourable conditions, this hardy grass reaches a height of approx. 50 cm and spreads up to 30 cm.
