Description
With its medium green leaf colouring, Orange New Zealand sedge 'Prairie Fire' (Carex testacea) is a decorative design element in the garden, which also adorns pots on balconies or terraces with its clump-forming growth. The brown flower fronds adorn this grass from summer onwards. It feels most at home in a sunny to semi-shady location with loose, well-drained soil. In favourable conditions, this hardy grass reaches a height of approx. 30 cm and grows up to 60 cm wide.
