Description
The Sedge (Carex umbrosa) is a decorative design element in the garden, but also adorns pots on balconies or terraces. The red-brown flower fronds adorn this grass from spring onwards. It feels most at home in a semi-shady to shady location with a well-drained, humus-rich, lime-free, loamy soil. In favourable conditions, this hardy grass reaches a height of approx. 20 cm and grows up to 30 cm wide.
