Description
The Sweet chestnut 'Dorée de Lyon' (Castanea sativa) is a spreading, broad large tree or small tree that produces creamy white flowers with a strong fragrance. They appear from May to June. They produce brown fruits from October. They exude a strong fragrance. The Sweet chestnut 'Dorée de Lyon' also has shiny, lanceolate, dark green leaves. Its bark is dark grey and fissured like a net. In a sunny to semi-shady location with well-drained, sandy, loamy soil, it usually reaches a height of approx. 10 metres and grows to a width of approx. 6.5 metres.
