Description
The Sweet chestnut 'Maraval' (Castanea sativa) is a broad, large tree that produces green-white flowers arranged in catkins with a strong fragrance. They appear from May to June. Brown fruits emerge from these from October. They are large and exude a strong fragrance. The Sweet chestnut 'Maraval' also has shiny, lanceolate, dark green leaves. Its bark is dark grey and fissured like a net.
