Description
The Deodar cedar (Cedrus deodara) is a tree that grows conical, overhanging and usually reaches a height of about 15 metres and a width of about 10 metres. Its leaves are blue-green in colour. This shrub is well tolerant of frost. It prefers well-drained, humus-rich, nutrient-rich, acidic, moist to wet soil in a sunny to semi-shady, wind-protected location.

Care
- This plant is susceptible to snow pressure. In snowy areas, it is therefore advisable to wrap the branches with twine. Otherwise, they may split apart and not fully recover. When the snow season is over, the twine must of course be removed. - This plant should not be pruned. Only broken or diseased branches should be removed in summer.
