Description
The Hackberry (Celtis occidentalis) is a broad, irregular tree that produces greenish-yellow flowers. These produce orange-red fruits. The Hackberry also has egg-shaped, dark green leaves. Its bark is grey and deeply fissured. In a sunny location with well-drained, nutrient-rich soil, it usually reaches a height of around 20 metres and grows to a width of around 18 metres.
