Description
The Brown Knapweed (Centaurea jacea) is an upright, clump-forming perennial that produces purple-red, plate-shaped flowers from June to September. Its matt, lanceolate, toothed leaves are medium green. In a sunny location with sandy, loamy soil, it usually reaches a height of approx. 60 cm and is approx. 40 cm wide. The Brown Knapweed is well tolerant of frost.
