Description
The Japanese Plum Yew 'Fastigiata' (Cephalotaxus harringtonia) is a shrub that grows columnar and usually reaches a height of around 3 metres and a width of around 1.5 metres. Its leaves are dark green in colour. This shrub is well tolerant of frost. It prefers well-drained, humus-rich, loose soil in a sunny to semi-shady, wind-protected position.

Care
- This plant is susceptible to snow pressure. In snowy areas, it is therefore advisable to wrap the branches with twine. Otherwise, they may split apart and not fully recover. When the snow season is over, the twine must of course be removed.
- This plant should not be pruned. Only broken or diseased branches should be removed in summer.
