Description
The Eastern redbud 'Ace of Hearts'(s) (Cercis canadensis) is a sprawling, picturesque, compact large shrub that produces purple, butterfly-shaped flowers. They appear from April to May. In a sunny location with well-drained, calcareous soil, it usually reaches a height of around 4 metres and grows to a width of around 6 metres.
