Description
The Eastern redbud 'Cascading Hearts' (Cercis canadensis) is a sprawling, picturesque, drooping large shrub or bush that produces crimson, butterfly-shaped flowers. They appear from April to May. These produce brown, pod-shaped fruits. The Eastern redbud 'Cascading Hearts' also has heart-shaped, medium green leaves. In a sunny location with well-drained, calcareous soil, it usually reaches a height of around 3 metres and is around 2 metres wide.
