Description
The Eastern redbud 'Rising Sun' (Cercis canadensis) is a sprawling, picturesque, multi-stemmed, deciduous large shrub with decorative, heart-shaped, light yellow leaves. The apricot-coloured shoots are also an interesting sight. In a sunny location with well-drained, calcareous soil, it usually reaches a height of around 3 metres and grows to a width of around 2.5 metres.
