Description
The Japanese quince 'Hot Fire' (Chaenomeles speciosa) is a sprawling shrub with decorative, yellow, pear-shaped, round fruits. It produces red flowers from March to May. The Japanese quince 'Hot Fire' also has lanceolate, egg-shaped, medium green leaves. In a sunny location, it usually reaches a height of around 1.5 metres and grows to a width of around 3 metres. The Japanese quince 'Hot Fire' makes no particular demands on the soil.
