Description
The Japanese quince 'Hot Fire' (Chaenomeles speciosa) is a spreading shrub with decorative, yellow, pear-shaped, round fruits. Before these appear, it produces red flowers from March to May. The Japanese quince 'Hot Fire' also bears lanceolate, ovate, medium-green leaves. In a sunny position, it usually reaches a height of around 1.5 m and spreads to around 3 m. The Japanese quince 'Hot Fire' has no particular soil requirements.
