Description
The Japanese quince 'Red Kimono'® (Chaenomeles speciosa) is a compact shrub with decorative, golden-yellow fruits. It produces scarlet-red, cup-shaped flowers from April to May. With the right care, the Japanese quince 'Red Kimono'® blooms again from July to August. The Japanese quince 'Red Kimono'® also has lanceolate, medium green leaves. In a sunny location, it usually reaches a height of around 1.5 metres and grows to around 1 metre wide. The Japanese quince 'Red Kimono'® makes no particular demands on the soil.
