Description
The Japanese quince (Chaenomeles speciosa) is a spreading shrub that produces red flowers. They appear from March to May. With the right care, the Japanese quince will flower again from July to August. These produce yellow, pear-shaped fruits from October. The Japanese quince also has lanceolate, medium green leaves. In a sunny location, it usually reaches a height of around 3 metres and grows to a width of around 3 metres. The Japanese quince makes no special demands on the soil.
