Description
The Hinoki cypress 'Chirimen' (Chamaecyparis obtusa) is a shrub that grows roundish, bizarre, compact, dwarf and usually reaches a height of approx. 1 m and a width of approx. 50 cm. Its scaly, glossy leaves are dark green in colour. This shrub is well tolerant of frost and prefers well-drained, humus-rich soil in a sunny to semi-shady position.
