The Sawara cypress 'Blue Planet' (Chamaecyparis pisifera) is a shrub that grows densely and compactly and usually reaches a height of approx. 40 cm and a width of approx. 40 cm. Its scale-like leaves are grey-blue in colour. This shrub is well tolerant of frost and prefers loose, nutrient-rich soil in a sunny to semi-shady position.
