Description
The Fringe tree (Chionanthus virginicus) is a broad, shrub-like shrub that produces white flowers arranged in panicles with a pleasant fragrance. They appear from May to June. The Fringe tree also has leathery, dark green leaves. Its bark is grey and scaly. In a sunny to semi-shady, wind-protected location with well-drained, sandy, weakly acidic soil, it usually reaches a height of around 3 metres and grows to a width of around 5 metres.
