Description
The Thistle 'Atropurpureum' (Cirsium rivulare) is an upright perennial that forms purple-red, basket-shaped flowers from July to August. Its lanceolate leaves are medium green in colour. In a sunny location with well-drained soil, it usually reaches a height of approx. 1.2 m and grows to a width of approx. 70 cm. The Thistle 'Atropurpureum' is well tolerant of frost.
