Description
The Marsh thistle (Cirsium palustre) is an upright perennial that produces purple-red flowers from July to September. Its leaves are dark green. In a sunny location with nutrient-rich, moist to wet soil, it usually reaches a height of approx. 2 m and grows to a width of approx. 70 cm. The Marsh thistle is well tolerant of frost.
