Description
The Persian lime (Citrus latifolia) is a very popular, evergreen tub plant whose green, round fruits have a tart flavour. Its decorative flowers are wheel-shaped and appear from April to September. They exude a strong fragrance. The dark green leaves are egg-shaped and glossy. The location should be as sunny and sheltered as possible. A well-drained and lime-free soil is ideal. In favourable conditions, the Persian lime reaches a height of approx. 3 m and grows up to 2 m wide.
