Description
The Persian lime (Citrus latifolia) is a very popular, evergreen tub plant whose green, round fruits have a tart flavour. Its decorative flowers are wheel-shaped and appear from April to September. They exude a strong fragrance. The dark green leaves are egg-shaped and glossy. The location should be as sunny and sheltered as possible. A well-drained and lime-free soil is ideal. In favourable conditions, the Persian lime reaches a height of approx. 3 m and grows up to 2 m wide.

- This plant should only be watered with lime-free water. Rainwater is particularly suitable for this purpose. - As soon as temperatures no longer fall below 5°C, even at night, this plant can also be taken outside. A shower with lukewarm water will remove dust and revitalise your favourite. A semi-shady spot out of direct sunlight is best to prevent leaf damage. If necessary, the plant can also be repotted outdoors in spring, which saves cleaning work indoors.

Flower
Citrus latifolia forms wheel-shaped, white flowers arranged in corymbs from April. These exude a strong fragrance and grow to about 1 - 5 cm in size.
