Care
- Scale insects are best controlled with a soap and spirit solution. Spider mites can often simply be rinsed off over the sink.
- Over time, the potting compost loses some of its important properties. The plants should therefore be repotted every two years in spring into a larger pot filled with fresh potting compost.
- As soon as night-time temperatures no longer drop below 5°C, this plant can be moved outdoors. A shower with lukewarm water removes dust and revives your favourite plant. A semi-shaded spot without direct sunlight is best to avoid damage to the leaves. If necessary, the plant can also be repotted outdoors straight away in spring, which saves on cleaning up indoors.
- Excess water must be able to drain away easily; waterlogging should be avoided at all costs.
