Description
The Kousa 'Satomi'® (Cornus kousa) is a large, upright shrub with decorative, dark pink, round fruits. It produces pink flowers from the end of May to June. The Kousa 'Satomi'® also has egg-shaped, medium-green leaves. In a sunny to semi-shady location with well-drained, humus-rich, lime-free, sandy soil, it usually reaches a height of around 6 metres and grows to a width of around 5 metres.

Leaves
The deciduous leaves of the Kousa 'Satomi'®s are medium green, ovate, opposite, wavy. They are about 7 - 11 cm in size. Kousa 'Satomi'® is bright purple-red in autumn.
