Description
The Cornelian cherry 'Schumener' (Cornus mas) is a bushy, upright, broad, large shrub with decorative, dark red, oval fruits. These are large and exude a light fragrance. It produces yellow flowers arranged in umbels from March to April. The Cornelian cherry 'Schumener' also has egg-shaped, medium-green leaves. In a sunny to semi-shady location with well-drained, humus-rich, calcareous, loamy soil, it usually reaches a height of around 5 metres and grows to a width of around 4 metres.
