Description
The Filbert (Corylus maxima) is a large shrub that produces yellow flowers. These appear from March to April. From August onwards, these develop into red fruits. The Filbert also has rounded, dark green leaves. In a sunny position with well-drained, humus-rich, sandy soil, it usually reaches a height of around 8 m and spreads to around 4 m.
