Description
The Filbert (Corylus maxima) is a large shrub that produces yellow flowers. They appear from March to April. These produce red fruits from August. The Filbert also has roundish, dark green leaves. In a sunny location with well-drained, humus-rich, sandy soil, it usually reaches a height of around 8 metres and grows to a width of around 4 metres.
