Description
The Midland hawthorn 'Paul´s Scarlet Hamlet' (Crataegus laevigata) is an irregular, branched large shrub with decorative, scarlet-red, oval fruits. These exude a pleasant fragrance. It produces dark pink-coloured flowers arranged in panicles from April to May. The Midland hawthorn 'Paul´s Scarlet Hamlet' also has shiny, leathery, egg-shaped, dark green leaves. In a sunny to semi-shady location with well-drained, nutrient-rich, loamy soil, it usually reaches a height of around 6 metres.
