Description
The Midland hawthorn 'Rubra Plena' (Crataegus laevigata) is an irregular, branched large shrub that produces carmine-red flowers arranged in panicles. They appear from May to June. The Midland hawthorn 'Rubra Plena' also has shiny, leathery, egg-shaped, medium-green leaves. In a sunny to semi-shady location with well-drained, nutrient-rich, loamy soil, it usually reaches a height of around 8 metres and grows to a width of around 6 metres.
