Description
The Broad-leaved cockspur thorn 'Splendens' (Crataegus persimilis) is an upright, broad, large shrub with decorative, scarlet-red, round fruits. It produces white flowers arranged in umbrella clusters from May to June. The Broad-leaved cockspur thorn 'Splendens' also has egg-shaped, dark green leaves. In a sunny to semi-shady location with well-drained, nutrient-rich soil, it usually reaches a height of around 7 metres and is around 5 metres wide.
