Description
The Dutch crocus 'Vanguard' (Crocus vernus) produces attractive, purple-coloured, pleasantly fragrant flowers from March to April. It prefers a well-drained, nutrient-rich, sandy soil in a sunny to semi-shady position. The upright plant usually reaches a height of 10 - 15 cm and grows up to 5 cm wide.
