Description
The Japanese cedar 'Elegans Viridis' (Cryptomeria japonica) is a large shrub that grows conical, broad and dense and usually reaches a height of around 8 metres and a width of around 3 metres. Its needle-shaped leaves are blue-green in colour. This shrub is well tolerant of frost. It prefers acidic, loamy soil in a sunny to semi-shady position sheltered from the wind.
