Description
The Handkerchief tree (Davidia involucrata vilmoriniana) is a broad, pyramidal, deciduous small tree with decorative, egg-shaped, medium-green leaves. It also bears creamy white flowers from May to June. These produce green fruits. In a sunny to semi-shady, wind-protected location with well-drained, nutrient-rich, loamy soil, it usually reaches a height of around 15 metres and is around 8 metres wide.
