Description
The Blue bean shrub (Decaisnea fargesii) is a large, upright shrub with decorative, blue, pod-shaped fruits. It produces greenish-yellow flowers arranged in clusters from May to June. The Blue bean shrub also has pinnate, light green leaves. In a sunny, sheltered location with well-drained, nutrient-rich, sandy, loamy soil, it usually reaches a height of around 5 metres and is around 4 metres wide.
