Description
With its medium green leaf colouring, Tufted hair grass 'Palava' (Deschampsia cespitosa) is a decorative design element in the garden, which also stands out with its clump-forming and compact growth. The light brown panicles of flowers adorn this grass from summer onwards. It feels most at home in a semi-shady to shady location with well-drained, humus-rich soil.
