Description
The Bleeding heart (Dicentra spectabilis) is an upright perennial that forms pink-white flowers arranged in racemes from May to June. Its pinnate leaves are blue-green. In a sunny to semi-shady location with well-drained, humus-rich, nutrient-rich soil, it usually reaches a height of approx. 80 cm and is approx. 70 cm wide. The Bleeding heart is well tolerant of frost.
