Description
The Common foxglove (Digitalis purpurea) is an upright, winter-green perennial that forms red, white or pink, funnel-shaped flowers from June to July. Its lanceolate leaves are medium green. In a sunny to semi-shady location with well-drained, lime-free soil, it usually reaches a height of approx. 1.3 m and grows to a width of approx. 40 cm. The Common foxglove is well tolerant of frost.
